Aptamil Comfort is a specialized infant formula that is designed to help manage common digestive issues in babies, such as colic, constipation, and excessive gas. It is formulated to be gentle on the baby's tummy and provide relief from the discomfort associated with these digestive problems.
Here are some key features and benefits of Aptamil Comfort:
1. Easy digestion: Aptamil Comfort is formulated with a unique blend of partially hydrolyzed whey protein, which is broken down into smaller pieces for easier digestion by the baby's immature digestive system.
2. Reduced lactose content: This formula has a reduced lactose content compared to standard infant formulas. Lactose is the natural sugar found in milk, and some babies may have difficulty digesting it. By reducing lactose, Aptamil Comfort helps to minimize discomfort associated with lactose intolerance.
3. Specialized carbohydrates: The formula contains a blend of special carbohydrates, such as maltodextrin and starch, which are easier for babies to digest and may help alleviate colic symptoms.
4. Prebiotics: Aptamil Comfort contains prebiotic fibers, such as galactooligosaccharides (GOS), which help support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria and promote a healthy digestive system.
5. Nutrient-rich: Despite being designed for babies with digestive issues, Aptamil Comfort is still packed with essential nutrients necessary for healthy growth and development, including vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.
It's important to note that Aptamil Comfort is a specialized formula and should only be used under the guidance of a healthcare professional or pediatrician. They can evaluate your baby's specific needs and advise whether Aptamil Comfort is appropriate for your little one.

Preparation:
- Boil the water freshly for each meal. Let it cool down to around 40°C before adding the powder. This is important so that the powder dissolves well but the valuable ingredients are not damaged.
- Fill 2/3 of the amount of water required according to the table into the prepared bottle (make sure that this, the ring, and the teat are clean and sterilized). Tip: If you don't have a thermometer to check the water temperature, you can do it by hand. If you can just hold the bottle in your hand, the temperature is okay.
- Take the measuring spoon from the package to measure out the powder required according to the table (fill the measuring spoon loosely). For an exact dosage, wipe off the measuring spoon on the scraper edge of the pack.
- Add the powder to the cooled water in the bottle.
- Close the bottle tightly and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds.
- Open the bottle and add the remaining third of the boiled water.
- Close tightly again and shake vigorously until the powder has completely dissolved in the water.
- Let the formula cool down to a drinking temperature before your baby drinks from the bottle. The optimum temperature is around 37 °C, i.e. lukewarm. Please be sure to check the temperature before feeding your baby.
